Collaboration

The N5T alliance wishes to set standards for the international development of higher education institutions. To this end, the N5T has developed a strategy for the advancement of education, research and innovation at the individual partner university. This has resulted in a series of working groups, joint projects and networks.

Working groups:

• The N5T Quality Assurance working group
• N5T Sustainable Energy Network: The N5T universities collaborate within Sustainable Energy education and research
• International Recruitment: The N5T universities coordinate their international marketing efforts
• Nordic Five Tech Innovation and Industrial Cooporation: A working group within the area of innovation and industrial cooporation

Projects:

• The N5T QA Pilot Project on Peer Evaluation of Master Programs
• Nordic M.Sc. Program in Innovative Sustainable Energy Engineering: A novel master program for Nordic and International students
• Nordic M.Sc. Program in Maritime Engineering: the program is being developed and is scheduled to have its first intake in September 2011
• Participation in WIREC 2008: The N5T alliance was represented at WIREC 2008, the worlds largest conference on Renewable Energy technology

Networks:

• N5T Teaching and Learning Development Units: A network for the exchange of ideas, experience and good practise for the development of teaching and learning in engineering education
• N5T Alumni-offices: A network for the exchange of ideas, experience and good practise for the development of alumni activities
• N5T Career Counselling: A network for the exchange of ideas, experience and good practise for the development of career counselling. The working group contributes to the M.Sc. Program in Innovative Sustainable Energy Engineering.
