Summary, N5T Teaching and Learning Develepment network, meeting on August 24-25

On August 24-25 representatives from the N5T Teaching and Learning units held their 3rd Nordic meeting. The meeting was hosted by Uniped (Seksjon for universitetspedagogikk), NTNU.

The agenda for the first day focused on the following topics:

  • Quality Assurance systems (QAS) (presentations, questions and discussion) – NTNU and other N5T universities
  • The European Qualifications Framework: How do N5T institutions work with learning objectives and learning outcome? (Introduction Vidar Gynnild, NTNU)

Teaching portfolios as a tool for development and/or assessment of pedagogical competencies (Introduction Pernille Andersson, DTU) On the second day the participants observed the first course module of “LAOS” (LeringsAssistentOpplæringsSystem) which is a unique programme for training of learning assistants at NTNU. The aims of this ambitious initiative is to qualify experienced students to work as  assistants and supervisors for younger students. After the course module, the N5T meeting continued  with the following topics:

  • Reflections and discussion about the course and use of students in teaching and learning processes (Introduction Geir Halland, NTNU)
