Research Infrastructure

The purpose of the group is to explore ways in which to enhance both access to and collaboration regarding research infrastructures.

Research infrastructures are large and long-term investments, and it is therefore desirable to share resources in the N5T network. Furthermore, closer collaboration on training, upgrade plans, and exchange of methods and protocols will position N5T infrastructures internationally and increase collective competitiveness.

Presently the group is mapping research infrastructures at each of the universities. The map has twofold purpose: to direct researchers to infrastructures that are unique and only exist at one university, and to promote collaboration between infrastructures that exist at several universities and are similar.

The task force is looking into ways to increase the visibility for potential users, to make access easier, and to increase mobility for researchers and technical staff.
